Absolutely, this will only change due to government health directives, such as COVID-19 related lockdowns and government health advice.

Yes, we always welcome our dear customers, but in the current climate we ask that you be vigilant and check any government directives. Please check for individual store openings, as some centres may be subject to specific government health advice.

As a food retailer and manufacturer, we maintain very high levels of cleanliness and hygiene, but we have increased the frequency of sanitising and deep cleaning as the health of our customers, staff and all the Walker’s family is our number one priority. 

Product questions

Our doughnuts are best consumed on the day of purchase but can be held under refrigeration below 4°C for up to 48 hours.

Our doughnuts are best consumed on the day of purchase, and we cannot guarantee their shelf life after 48 hours. Freezing will the affect the sensory/eating properties of the product.

Our range includes many classic flavours plus an ever-changing variety of new flavours. Please check our website or call or visit in-store for specific flavours.

Some stores may be able to help you with a specific order. Please contact your store of interest in particular to discuss with our friendly franchise partner.

Our smallest doughnut is our famous hot jam balls.

We use only high quality ingredients/additives in our doughnuts. We source as many ingredients as we can from Australia. A lot of our ingredients in our secret proprietary Walker’s mix are simple ingredients such as flour, sugar, milk, salt, yeast, eggs, vegetable oil etc. Ingredients such as emulsifiers are soy derived and are of vegetable origin.

Our valued customers dietary practices are very important to us. We are not Halal certified but all the ingredients that go into our doughnuts are Halal permitted. Our frying oil is 100% Halal certified.

Our doughnuts are fried in Halal certified animal fat.

No, Walker’s Doughnuts jam does not contain gelatine.

We offer a variety of milks in store, both dairy and plant-based.

Our coffee is an award-winning signature Walker’s blend called the Black Rose and is roasted in the capital city of coffee drinking in the world, good old Melbourne!

Many of the products are vegetarian, and we are in the process of actively developing vegan and gluten free lines.

As a direct ingredient we do not use gelatine in our doughnuts. Our custard contains Halal gelatine.

We take our customers health and wellbeing very seriously at Walker’s Doughnuts. As a traditional baked product, our doughnuts contain known allergens such as Gluten, Egg, Dairy and Soy. If you have food intolerances or are concerned regarding food allergens, we politely ask that you play it safe and do not consume our products.

Yes. Some of our products particularly use nuts as a decoration or filling (peanut butter). We cannot guarantee that our products during the course of their processing, have not come into contact with nuts in either our facility, or in our suppliers facilities. If you have concerns or nut intolerances, we politely ask that you play it safe and do not consume our products.

We accept cash and all major credit and debit cards in store.

Though we always strive to keep our prices stable, fair and reasonable, to maintain the highest of quality and the use of exceptional ingredients to make our delicious doughnuts, we have to raise our prices from time to time in line with price rises from our raw material suppliers.

At Walker’s Doughnuts we pride ourselves on community involvement through our Walker’s Winners program. Our stores would be happy to discuss any donations or support to the local community, please contact your store of interest and discuss with your friendly franchise partner.

Walker’s Doughnuts was based on the Founder’s family bakery based in the New York, USA. The concept was originally developed in Melbourne, Australia and we have taken the classic elements of 1940s, 50s and 60s Americana and incorporated them into the iconic look that is Walker’s Doughnuts.
